  1. floss thread according to the key;
  2. lemon green canvas 28x41cm;
  3. cotton fabric, blending in color with canvas 28x46cm;
  4. 25cm pink zipper

Step 1

Making a book cover

Fastening a loop fastener from a ribbon.

Place the fabric with embroidery face up.Fold the tapes in half) to make a loop, align both ends with the raw edge of the canvas on the left side. Sweep it.

Put one pocket on the main fabric face to face, combining raw edges and closing the ends of the ribbon loop. Sew using a 1.5 cm seam allowance, then iron the seam. Repeat the steps for the main fabric and the pocket on the opposite side.

Turn over and press all the edges of the main fabric and pockets, bending them to the wrong side 1.5 cm.

Build Cover

Lay the fabric-sewn part face down, then lay the gasket on top. The gasket should be placed in the center. You may need to trim it a little so that it is slightly less than the height of the cover and equal the seams between the main fabric and the pockets. This will help reduce the amount of cover pockets.

Put the gasket under the curved edges of the main fabric and sew it, make sure that the stitches are not visible on the front side of the cover.

Place the lining fabric over the pad and tuck the edges of the fabric inward so that they line up with the edges of the main fabric. Sew with hidden stitches.

Place the unfolded book in the center of the stapled cover and pin the pockets on top and bottom.

Now sew the top and bottom of each pocket. To securely lock them in place, stitch through all layers of fabric.

When the cover is ready, sew the button to the front of the button so that the loop fits snugly against it.

Step 2

Pencil Making

Cut the fabric with embroidery in the center to 15x28 cm.

Cut three pieces of the same size out of cotton fabric. One part will be used as the back side of the pencil case, the other two will be used as a lining.

Place the front and back parts face-to-face and stitch 1.5 cm on both sides along the top edge, using a seam allowance and 1.5 cm. Insert a zipper.

Sew the sides and bottom of the case using a 1.5 cm seam allowance.

Do the same for the two parts for the lining, folding them face to face.

Turn out the case on the front side, iron out, then re-adjust the lining. Turn the upper edges of the lining and sew them with a secret stitch to the inside of the pencil case just below the zippers. The pencil case is ready.
