Another matter is the starter. The power lines pass along the shortest path, and the management of three thin wires (usually in one cable) go to the place where the buttons are conveniently located. Secondly, besides the control buttons manually, there may be automatic devices (light sensor, temperature and pressure) which they themselves can control the work of the load. In addition to the above factors, another advantage of the starter is the switching of a sufficiently powerful current. How the circuit works. When you press the START button, the phase will first pass through the closed contacts through the chain of the STOP button to the starter coil. So, as at the other end of the coil will be zero, the electromagnet will be pulled in and the starter's contacts will close, including additional ones. Since these contacts will be closed by releasing the button, the circuit will not rupture and the starter will work.
