How to get a visa to Spain?

Spain is one of the EU countries that has signed the Schengen Agreement. That is why, in order to go on an excursion, a Schengen visa is required here. Consider how to get a visa to Spain.

Preparing documents

The process of preparing documents, in this case, is fundamental. All documents must be submitted personally, you must have an identity card. The standard package of documents includes:

  • passport, valid for at least 180 days;
  • three color photographs 3x4 cm;
  • personalized application form of a Spanish visa;
  • copy of Russian passport (all pages);
  • certificate of income from work;
  • a check for purchased currency with the calculation of 60 euros per day.

Submit the above documents must be at least twenty-two days before the tourist trip. Documents must be folded in strict sequence, if this is not done, then such documents will not even be considered by the embassy. The cost of obtaining a visa is 60 euros for citizens of the Russian Federation. Registration of a visa takes at least 15 days.

Causes of failure

The most common reason for the refusal of a visa is a discrepancy in the documentation or an error in it. Also, sometimes Russian citizens are not allowed into Spain, due to the lack of a cash check for 60 euros per day. However, consular officers reserve the right not to allow suspicious citizens into the country without giving a reason.
