Mint Jam

Mint Jam- Three ways to make mint jam. Mint jam is not only unusual and very pleasant to taste, but also beneficial for health: it helps with colds and stomach diseases.

Cooking

First method

Ingredients:

  1. 250 g of mint leaves;
  2. 1 kg of sugar
  3. 2 lemons;
  4. 0.5 liters of water.

Mint leaves with stems, rinse, lightly dry and chop. Lemons finely chopped together with the peel. Put everything in a saucepan and boil for 10 minutes. Leave for a day.

After that, squeeze the mixture, filter the infusion, add sugar to it and cook until ready. Hot jam pour in boiled jars and then roll up.

Second way

Ingredients:

  1. 400 g mint leaves;
  2. 1 kg of sugar
  3. 1 tsp. citric acid;
  4. 1 glass of water.

Mint washed in cold water, drain in a colander, gently blot with a towel. Pouring into the pan, alternate with sugar, taken in the amount of half the prescription rate. Top with citric acid, stirred in a tablespoon of water.Shake, cover and leave for 6 hours.

Meanwhile, the remainder of the sugar and one cup of water to cook the syrup, remove the foam and pour them let mint juice.

After the prescribed 6 hours, put the mint on the fire and boil on a small fire for 5 minutes. Hot pour the jam into sterile jars and roll up.

Third Method

Ingredients:

  1. 200-300 gr. mint;
  2. 0.5 l. water;
  3. 1-2 lemons
  4. 1 kg. sugar.

The collected mint leaves with twigs and stems and lemons, cut with "skins", add water and cook for 10 minutes. Insist   one day. After a day, squeeze out the mass, and strain the strain. Add sugar and cook until ready, about 2 hours on low heat, removing the froth. Hot pour jam into sterile jars and roll up.
