“Chick” polyethylene toy

Good afternoon. Many now do different beautiful things with their own hands, even toys. It turns out that they can not only sew or knit, you can also make fluffy and fun toys made of polyethylene. Today we will make a toy of a chick. For this we need: - Cardboard (white and red). - Pencil. - Scissors. - Polyethylene. - Wire. - Decorative eyes.
- Clay. First we take the cardboard and draw on it two circles of different diameter. One circle should be smaller, the second one more.

In the center of each circle, draw another circle, again of a smaller diameter.

Cut out. As a result, you should have two rings of smaller and two rings of larger diameter.

Now let's take polyethylene of any color. I took lilac. We cut it into strips with a width of 0.5-1 cm.

Take two rings of smaller diameter, put them together and make a pompon. We'll just start wrapping the ring with our stripes. The more turns there are, the more pompom the fluffier is.

As soon as you run out of strip, take another we apply it to the place where the strip ended and reel on the ring again. We continue to do so until the hole inside becomes small.

Now you need to cut the strips using scissors. We cut our ring in a circle, without cutting the cardboard discs.

Now move the cardboard discs apart a little, push the thread between them and tighten our pompom, tie, leaving the tips.Cardboard rings are torn and taken out, we don’t need them any more.

We trim the protruding threads with scissors. Pompon is ready. This will be the head of the chick.

Now let's deal with a larger ring. The principle of operation is the same, only the hole is left larger.
 Toy of polyethylene
Take a wire 24 centimeters long. Fold it in half, but the ends should be interconnected in the middle. We fix them with scotch tape.

We push the wire through the ring. Now you can cut the threads on the ring around the circle in the same way as the previous one. We tie it with thread, leaving tails, and cut off the excess. That's it, and this pompon is ready - it will be the chick's torso.

Now we connect the ends of the threads left, connecting the pompons between each other.

Take a cardboard and cut out four wings from it. We will grease the two blanks with glue and glue them onto the wire so that it is between them. Wire pre-give the shape of the wings. We do the same with the second wing.

Now we need polyethylene again. Cut strips 3 centimeters wide, fold them twice and cut the fringe around the edge.

We straighten the fringe. Using glue, fix one end on the wing and wrap the entire wing (in several places, you can also fix it with glue), and glue the other end.

Take a red cardboard. Cut a rectangle 2x3 centimeters out of it. Make a cone and cut edges.

Glue the beak to the head.

Now you need to paste decorative eyes. If you do not have such eyes, do not despair. They can easily be made from a blister (packaging from under tablets), beads and white cardboard, or simply from colored paper.

That's our chick.

You can put it in a nest, add candies, fruits, pack nicely and give to a child for any reason.

Goodbye.
