Among the most popular canned foods in the winter is green peas, without which do not cost many everyday and festive meals. For the preservation of green peas at home, not so many ingredients are needed (based on a 0.5 liter jar):
  • peeled young peas - 350 g;
  • water;
  • salt - 1 teaspoon;
  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • vinegar 9% - 1 tbsp. l.
In case you will buy peas on the market in pods: bank consumption 0.5 - 650 gr. peas. Getting to the process of cooking and preservation. We collect ripe peas from the garden or buy on the market. Stripping it while removing over-ripe and tainted. Well we wash it from garbage.  Harvesting for the winter - Green peas pour the washed peas into a saucepan, pour water,bring to a boil over a large fire and continue to boil on a small one for 20 - 25 minutes. At the same time, we collect the foam (if it is formed). After the time, we take peas from the pan, using at the same time a noise (a large spoon with holes). Water is left for sterilization. We put it in clean and dry jars, not getting enough to top about one centimeter. Then pour on top of one teaspoon of salt and two - sugar. Add a tablespoon of vinegar, pour warm water and send to sterilize.

For sterilization, you need to take a large pot, which will accommodate a few jars, make the bottom of the towel (so that the jars do not jump when boiling and did not fight) and put into it the banks covered with lids. Pour water (on the shoulders).

Preparation for the winter - Green peas Sterilization requires temperatures above boiling, so we add salt to it (1 tbsp. Will be enough). We bring to a boil and continue to cook for no more than 20 minutes, depending on the maturity of the peas. If it is very young, then 15 minutes will suffice. By readiness, we take out the cans and roll up the lids. Be sure to check whether you are well rolled up. To do this, turn the jar on its side, and see if the brine flows from it.

Everything is ready. We leave the canned peas to cool down, turning it down with lids.
